Dreish & Mayar
Amongst the Angus glens, Glen Clova is undoubtedly the most popular, helped no doubt by the fact that it gives access to a number of Munros. The most popular amongst these are the twin tops of Dreish and Mayar which can conveniently be climbed together.

Description
The most convenient starting point is the car park at the road end in Glen Doll (one of the tributary valleys at the end of Glen Clova). From there paths lead off up both forks of the glen. One of the most popular routes is to follow the Kilbo path which after a climb through the forest takes a rising traverse up the hillside known as the Shank of Drumfollow to the high pass between the two hills. From this pass a short but steeper climb leads eastwards to the summit of Dreish while a longer gentler walk westwards leads to the slightly lower top of Mayar. Although the summit plateau can be fairly featureless, there are impressive corries around the edges of these hills.
