A classic reinvented, The North Face Men’s Nuptse 2 Vest features a new design and a new fabric construction.
Lighter than the original Nuptse, the Nuptse 2 Vest features smaller down filled baffles which give it more of an active look.
Suitability
A sleeveless version of the classic high loft Nuptse down jacket, the Nuptse 2 Vest is designed to deliver plush warmth in harsh cold conditions. Ideal for situations where a down jacket would be too restrictive, the Nuptse 2 Vest allows for complete freedom of movement to your arms.
The Nuptse 2 Vest is great for a wide range of outdoor activities in cold weather including walking, hiking and backpacking. With an extremely stylish design, the Nuptse 2 Vest also looks great worn for casual wear.
Construction
Designed for harsh cold conditions, the Nuptse 2 Vest is filled with premium 700-fill power goose for excellent warmth and insulation from the cold whilst remaining lightweight and compressible.
Suitable for use in tough outdoor environments, the Nuptse 2 Vest features a Mini-ripstop nylon shell that is wind resistant and water resistant. While double-layer taffeta to the shoulders increases durability, and abrasion resistance whilst wearing a rucksack, and a Durable Water Resistant finish repels moisture and will shrug off light rain, sleet and snow.

Returns
Should you wish to return a product for any reason, you may do so by taking your purchase to your nearest store within 28 days of date of dispatch. Goods can be exchanged or refunded within 28 days of dispatch. Please note that stores cannot accept returns of TOG24 or Garmin items that have been purchased online. These items must be returned by post by following the instructions detailed on the dispatch note included in your packaging.
Alternatively, for your convenience, we are pleased to offer Collect+ as an easy way to return products to us. Collect+ has parcel drop off points in over 4,500 local stores, most are open early until late, 7 days a week so you can return items at a time and place that suits you. We regret that we are unable to offer Collect+ for TOG24 or Garmin items that have been purchased online. Click here for more information about Collect+
If you don't have a store nearby or just don't have time to visit your local store, a refund can be obtained by returning the goods by post. However, please ensure that you use a tracked service and remember to include your Postal Returns Note (included with your original order).
In all instances the goods must be returned in saleable condition and in their original packaging to qualify for a 28 day refund or exchange.

The fit of the Nuptse 2 is the main attraction, the Nuptse 1 caused instant bloated Michelin man syndrome even if you didn't have gut to start with.
The fabric doesn't seem very tough though so I wouldn't recommend casually throwing yourself into Bramble bushes from now on.
As for cost I'd say it's worth the full price although I got it in the sales (smug).

Great quality vest from a well known manufacturer.
Keeps your core warm on a blowy winters day.
Folds into one of the pockets which is a great feature and leaves you with a "packet" about 4" x 6" and about 1" deep. Ideal for squeezing into your carry on at the airport for example.
Zips high quality and easy to use.

I can see closing the zip pockets will be awkward, the angle of zip and small tags. On a cold day, wet. If anything heavy in pocket could slide out. An internal pocket could be useful.
Draw cord is good idea. Has to be an improvement on the current vest used, where the insulation comes out thro' small holes.
