Not too bad - fair weather walker on well maintained paths
Boots are ok and are good for grassy and dry woodland walks. As soon as you throw any different terrain (e.g. rocks/slate or steep inclines) the grip is terrible. Build quality wasn't great as I found the metal fastener that holds the lace broke after a few wears. Finally, the soles inside the boots are not stuck into the boot very well and slide about. Highly recommended to buy different soles and insert. Good boot if you are a fair weather walker and don't want to really go anywhere off a well maintained path.

for sometimes now I have been trying to find a good pair of boot for walking; and have tried dfferent outdoor footwear shops to get a pair of boots which I felt comfortable to wear and walk. they were mostlytoo narrow and not comfortable until I tried the Blacks Size 9 Peter Storm. They are of very good quality and the witrh size on them are minmalistic. Since I bought them on the January 4th I have been walking with them on inside and out and found them to be very comfortable. So now I know the next I want a pair of boot it will be blacks for me.

If you are considering buying these boots for hiking...DONT ! I bought a pair of these last year at a bargain price of £40 &in my opinion they are not worth that ! Used them just to walk my dog across fields & parks & I could feel every pebble i walked on ...then the rain came...my feet were wet through in their first wet walk & 2 months later the had completely fallen apart..thank god I just bought them for walking the dog & not serious hiking...be warned !!!
