Write a reviewYes, the poles are too long and you could snap them if you're not careful. However, 3000mm for this price is unbeatable and such a bargain. Been using it for quite a while and haven't snapped the poles. It will take a minute longer to build because of the poles being too long but you're getting a proper waterproof tent for the price of a pop up tent.
Pole snapped first time with putting it up
I bought this tent for a 6 night hiking trip. I've camped lots before and own a couple of other tents, and it felt like it was especially difficult getting the poles into the pins on this tent. On the fourth day of my hike I pitched the tent and came back an hour later to find both of the poles had snapped; I was forced to share a one man tent with a friend for the rest of the trip or cancel.
I also met another hiker who had the same tent and one of his poles had snapped a few days after using it for the first time: I would suggest there's probably a design issue with this model.
Excellent
Where do I start I planned a trip for over 3 weeks With a few friends I hiked up to angle tarn in the Lake District took my tent out of the bag started setting it up got my first pole in that’s was a tight fit went to put the second pole in at the bottom of the tent and it snapped instantly what a poor design wouldn’t recommend this tent at all I would recommend the banshee 200 2 person tent instead of you was to buy a Vango tent ⛺️
