Previous boots, also Meindl...
Previous boots, also Meindl but fabric, gave up after 6 years and started letting water in. Decided to switch back to a leather boot and after reading various reviews on different makers of boots I thought I’d try these.
Comfort out of the box is on a par with Moab mids (which I use for dry weather), as is the fit, I do have wide feet so finding footwear can be a right pain but having covered a fair few miles in these now I can say I definitely made a good call with the Meran’s.
They do appear to be a well made boot, Just got to make sure I look after.

I am size 10 you only have size 11 in stock.
Would I be able to add insoles and two pair of Merino wool socks to get a good fit.
As you know all stores are closed at the moment so I cannot try a pair on.

Great boots ...could not be more comfortable....great for walking long walks with the dogs...love them.....I like the wide fitting very much....very well made I think they will last years.....worth the money.

Very well made & designed boot. Good wide fitting, resulting in a comfy fit straight from the box. Plenty of support around the ankles. Hopefully, the tread will be hard wearing & offer good grip on slippery terrain. Only two minor, negative points: I would prefer the laces to be slightly longer, as I find that todays chunky laces need double knots. They recommend that you wet-proof them before using. Considering the price paid, you would have thought they would be pre-treated during the manufacturing process, & would not be necessary.

Wire for first time and went for 10 mile hike, fitted perfectly and gave plenty of support around ankle area. Replaced a pair of Meindl which have given me 7 years of walking pleasure
